Duck Donuts is once again spreading its wings.
The national chain is adding its fifth Long Island location, this time at 2334 Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow, with an expected grand opening date in November 2023, the company announced on Saturday, Sept. 9 via a Facebook post.
Duck Donuts was named the best doughnut shop on Long Island by Bethpage’s 2023 Best of LI awards (tied with North Fork Doughnut Company).
With a large variety of unique flavor combinations such as peanut butter pie, blueberry lemonade, and “bacon in the sun” (topped with bacon and salted caramel drizzle), it’s no wonder the store delights customers of all ages.
“Definitely a kid-friendly and adult-friendly environment,” wrote Alison A. of Center Moriches on Yelp about the Hauppauge location.
In addition to Duck Donut’s seasonal pickings and everyday fan favorites, the shop offers made-to-order treats, with a variety of flavors and toppings to add, making each doughnut experience unique to the customer.
“The best donuts I've ever tasted!” said Yelp reviewer Lito A. of Brooklyn.
“I’m not the guy who usually eats the heavy donuts with all the toppings, but today I felt like being a risk taker. And I DO NOT REGRET IT!”
Duck Donuts first announced its incoming arrival in East Meadow on Tuesday, August 29.
However, the location and expected opening date were kept under wraps until the company’s most recent Facebook post.
While the opening date plastered on the new storefront’s windows says “Winter 2023,” the company told a Facebook commenter that it’s aiming for a November opening date.
This marks Duck Donut's fourth Long Island location.
